With selfies, portraits, and street photography, we’ll work towards a next generation exhibit and write poetry to accompany our images.
Leading the photography workshops will be visiting photographers Emily Whiting (Washington, D.C.) and Michael A. McCoy (Baltimore), recently named one of "12 African American Photographers You Should Follow Right Now" by TIME magazine. They join Rhyme & Reason's Malcolm Friend, an award winning poet and author of the chapbook mxd kd mixtape (Glass Poetry), for a series of workshops building up to an exhibition and spoken word performance party to celebrate Black History Month.
Want to learn more about our workshop leaders and their work? You can follow McCoy on Instagram and find Friend's work here.
